HOW TO READ IT

What these numbers are, and what they are not.

Eligible, not voters

The electorate here is the citizen voting-age population: U.S. citizens aged 18 and over. It is not the number registered, nor the number who will vote, and it says nothing about how anyone votes.

Latino is an origin

Hispanic or Latino is an ethnicity in the Census, of any race. The share counts Latino citizens 18+ over all citizens 18+, never over the total population, which includes children and non-citizens.

Spanish at home

The second figure counts residents aged 5 and over who speak Spanish at home, of any origin and citizenship. It has a different base from the first, so the two numbers are not comparable one to one.

Five-year estimates

The ACS 2024 5-year release pools surveys from 2020 to 2024. Each number is an estimate with a margin of error; on this page every district share is within ±1 points (90% confidence).
